Advanced Civil Infrastructure Monitoring GmbH, founded in 2021 and based in Graz, is an innovative engineering company in the field of surveying. We focus on the monitoring of infrastructure using
distributed fiber optic sensor systems. A single sensor cable replaces thousands of pointwise sensors and enables recording the complete deformation behavior of the structure over several kilometers
in the micrometer range. The fiber optic sensor system can thus be seen as the “nervous system” of your infrastructure, detecting incipient damage as it occurs and thus enabling the earliest possible
maintenance of the infrastructure.
Our range of services includes the design, development, installation and operation of monitoring systems for infrastructure. We support you from the planning stage to the data analysis, ensuring optimum
support throughout the monitoring process. We provide you with information about your infrastructure, enable you to minimize your risks and to improve the planning of the maintenance steps and the costs
involved.
We always deliver our services with the highest quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
The three members of our founding team met at Graz University of Technology. Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Werner Lienhart heads the Institute of Engineering Geodesy and Measurement Systems, which
has specialized in fiber optic sensors for decades. Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Monsberger and Dipl.-Ing. Fabian Buchmayer have gained many years of experience as his assistants in the field of fiber optic
structural health monitoring. Together, we have completed numerous successful projects and published scientific articles on fiber optic monitoring approaches.
In 2021, we founded ACI Monitoring GmbH to bundle our know-how and to meet the increasing demand for fiber optic monitoring systems. We are competent partners for all companies that seek professional
monitoring support with state-of-the-art technology.
